Privacy policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

TangentByte (“we”, “us”) builds software that respects the people who use it. This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit tangentbyte.com. Each of our products has its own privacy policy, linked from its product page.

The short version

  • No accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies on this website.
  • We only see your email address if you write to us, and we use it only to reply.
  • We never sell your data.

What this website stores

The site saves two small preferences in your own browser. They never leave your device:

  • theme in local storage remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
  • tb-intro-played in session storage stops the logo animation from replaying on every page. It is cleared when you close the tab.

Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading the site makes no requests to Google.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Vercel's privacy policy.

Contacting us

The contact form doesn't send anything to our servers: it opens your own email app with your message filled in. When you email us, we keep the conversation only as long as we need it to help you.

Our products

Products such as FeedKeeper have their own privacy policies describing exactly what they do with data. For example, FeedKeeper has no server and no analytics, and your API key stays in the extension. Read the FeedKeeper privacy policy.

Links to other sites

We link to services such as GitHub, YouTube and Hugging Face. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Your rights and changes

You can ask us what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
